St. Anne's Students Win Top Essay Contest Prizes:

This year’s diocesan vocations essay contest topic was “How do I know God is in my life and what should I do to understand his plan for me?”   The primary purpose of the diocesan-wide  essay contest, sponsored by the Serra Clubs of Augusta, Savannah and the Southern Cross, is to encourage seventh graders to express their own thoughts about God and the call to a personal vocation.  This year about 150 students submitted essays from both Parocial School and Faith Formation students.

Mr. Peter Paolucci presented awards to three students from our parish who swept top prizes for the Faith Formation category.  This is the second year in a row St. Anne Church Faith Formation students won all three top prizes, "another tri-fecta for St. Anne's", according to Father Smith.

The winner's were Nick Shimalla - First Place, Colleen Noland - Second Place, and Kaleigh Hardee - 3rd Place.  Congratulations to all for an outstanding achievement!  Everyone in our parish applauds your accomplishment.

First Place - Nick Shimalla
Second Place - Colleen Noland
Third Place - Kaleigh Hardee
