Christian Social Services:
St. Anne Parish plays an active role in helping those in need in our Richmond Hill community.  Through our parish Christian Social Services group, we assist with utility bills, food, transportation and other needs.  Our parish sponsors a back-to-school book bag and school supply drive each year, Christmas giving tree to local adults and children in need, and the SERV sale, which brings awareness to unfair labor practices in other parts of the world and many other awareness raising efforts.

The children in CCD have participated in the Heifer Project to assist persons in the need throughout the world to end the cycle of poverty throught financial interdependence and assistance, and the Rice Bowl Project, a Catholic Relief Services Program which, since it's inception, has raised more than $167 million dollars to assist people's ability to access food.

Our CYM group annually helps with the SOUPER BOWL collection, using soup pots after all Masses on Super Bowl Sunday.  This effort brings awareness to t he nutritional needs of the poor our community.  Funds go directly to assist local food banks and nutritional programs.

Parish funds are used monthly to assist both CSS and the local soup kitchen through the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church.  In this effort our own parishioners assist in the community effort with other churches to help those in need through cooking, serving and delivering meals and food products to local needy households.

The parish also gives direct financial support to the local traverlers fund for stranded travelers.  These funds are provided through referrals by city and county police officers for gas and other assistance. The parish also provides direct assistance through our parish office and by review by our pastor, Father Smith.

If you would like to contribute your time to assist in any of these important efforts, please contact our parish office for additional information, or speak with Father Smith directly.
